Background: Stripe is a popular payment system that many businesses are now using due to its flexibility. FreeAgent is an accounting platform used by over 150,000 businesses.
Challenge: The clients main challenge was they had a large number of monthly subscription payments coming in via Stripe. For each of these payments an invoice had to be manually created in their FreeAgent accounting system. They were doing this manually which took them a good 2 hours each week.
Sometimes during busy periods if this wasn't done then a backlog would accrue. When this happened the clients accounting system wasn't showing current data which made it hard for them to know their true financial position.
Solution: We Automate implemented automation that systematially created new invoices in FreeAgent each time a subscription payment was paid in Stripe.
Results: The client was able to save 1 working day of bookkeeping support each month, leading to an annual cost saving of over €2000 per year. Not massive money but that was just from one automation.
In addition the clients accounting system is now up to date all the time so they know where they stand.
Conclusion: 'We Automate' delvered this relatively simple piece of work, and is now working with this client to implement other automations within their business.
